Forest School takes place outdoors in all kinds of weather, and we encourage children to come prepared for the conditions.
However, the safety of the children and staff will always come first.
In the event of extreme or dangerous weather, such as thunderstorms, extreme winds or other conditions that make it unsafe to run the session, Woodland Wanderers may need to cancel.
These situations are outside of our control and are an unavoidable part of providing outdoor activities.
If a session is cancelled due to extreme or dangerous weather, the booking will not be refunded.
Where a suitable alternative camp or session has availability, your child's booking will be automatically transferred to the alternative date. If there is no suitable alternative place available, the original booking will remain non-refundable.
We will give you as much notice as possible if a session needs to be cancelled.
If your child is unable to attend because they are unwell, the booking is non-refundable and the session cannot be transferred.
Please do not bring your child to Forest School if they are unwell or have an illness that could be passed on to others. This helps protect the health and wellbeing of all the children and staff.
Once a booking has been made, refunds cannot be given if you decide that your child is no longer able to attend.
For term bookings, please see our Term Booking & Cancellation Policy for details of leaving a club part-way through a term.
If I need to cancel a session for a reason other than extreme or dangerous weather, I will contact you as soon as possible with the arrangements for the cancelled session.
Where a suitable alternative session is available, your booking will be transferred to that session. If no suitable alternative is available, a refund will be offered.
Forest School is an outdoor activity, so sessions will normally continue in a variety of weather conditions.
Please make sure your child comes dressed appropriately for the weather, with suitable clothing and footwear.
