About Me

Hello! I’m a certified Forest School Leader (Level 3) with a big passion for helping children learn, grow, and thrive in the great outdoors. I also work in school as a Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant, and I run our Garden Club, one of my favourite parts of the week! I love seeing the children’s excitement as they plant, nurture, and harvest their own fruits and vegetables.

I’m ELSA trained, which helps me support children’s emotional wellbeing and teach them practical life skills in a safe, caring environment. I also hold my Paediatric First Aid and hold a Food Safety certificate.

At home, I have two amazing children of my own who have helped me grow as a person and taught me so much about patience, understanding, and the joy of discovery. When I’m not at school or in the forest, you’ll often find me playing or coaching rugby, looking after our chickens, or tending to my allotment where I grow plenty of fruit and vegetables.

Why Forest School

Forest School is all about giving children the freedom to explore, discover, and learn in a natural environment. It’s a place where muddy hands, curious minds, and big imaginations are all celebrated!

Through hands on experiences in nature, children build confidence, resilience, and independence. They learn to take safe risks, solve problems, and work together, all while developing a deep respect for the world around them.

At Forest School, there’s no pressure or rush. Children are encouraged to follow their own interests, whether that’s building dens, climbing trees, spotting wildlife, or simply enjoying the peace of the forest. Each session is a chance for them to grow not just in knowledge, but in self belief and emotional wellbeing.

Most importantly, Forest School helps children reconnect with nature, something that’s becoming more important than ever in our busy, screen filled world. It’s a space where every child can shine in their own way, discover their strengths, and experience the joy of learning outdoors.
